These look good enough to eat! But these berries are for the birds.
The aptly named “winterberry holly” (Ilex verticillata) is a shrub/small tree that has nice flowers in the spring and develops berries in the summer. The berries are a spectacular sight in the winter garden (especially once it snows)!

Cold temperatures are coming towards the end of this week…I have a feeling it will be the end of the dahalias for this year….and just when they were blooming so nicely!
